Warn when applications may be launched fails

Just that. inDesign isn’t running. I drop a script that calls inDesign on the SD8 icon and inDesign launches.

But the “Warn when applications may be launched” is clicked.

This has worked recently, and I’ll play around with it, but it may be that it stopped working with either the latest system update or SD update.

→ Script Debugger 8.0.3 (8A49)
→ MacOS 11.6.2

On a side note, I wanted to use that feature because I believe that’s the only way to open a compiled appleScript as text in SD.

I wanted to open it as text because there were numerous << >> terms displaying and it was hard for me to figure out why. I’m sure it’s related to my upgrade of inDesign.

But, basically I think “Open script as text” could be useful. This has come up before, but it’s not that common.

Is the script addressing InDesign by name of ID? This feature only works with the former.

By name. I almost never use ID.

But, after updating ID there seems to be two versions on my Mac. InDesign 8CS and InDesign22.

The latter is what opens.
