UI Browser 3 has been working correctly on macOS 13 Ventura for me. I am its developer, and I have not received any other reports of frequent crashes.

I can confirm that UI Browser 3 works correctly under macOS 13 Ventura for me.
Bill Cheeseman, glad to meet you here, ui browser 3.0.2 works ok on my intel mac mini with macOS 12.
I installed ui browser 3.02 yesterday on mac studio (m1) with macOS 13. It crashed frequently.
Could it be because of the problem with the M1 chip?

I’ve come across some apps that work fine on Intel Mac, but have problems with M1 Mac.
for example, Hyperdock used to be my must-have software, so I just bought Mac Studio and I installed it immediately, but after running it for a while, Hyperdock would make my m1 Mac completely unresponsive, and it took me a long time to finally find out that this software was causing the problem.
Perhaps give us some more detail about the problem you are experiencing. What exactly is happening? Is UI Browser crashing on launch? Is UI Browser crashing when you do a particular thing within the application. Please try and collect a crash report from your machine so we can see where in the application the crash is happening.

Much better than what I’ve encountered before
I’m glad you’re seeing better performance. The one area where I’ve seen problems with UI Browser is when Follow Focus is turned on. Were you using Follow Focus mode? If so, can you describe what you were doing at the time of the crash?

In the distant past when I used it…
… It seemed to me that UI elements in pop up windows (or maybe dynamically added some other way) caused crashes.
I’m being vague as it was a long time ago and I never had a firm fix on a repeatable case.

I’m on Monterey and get a regular crash that I can reproduce on demand.
- use UI Browser follow focus
- click on a browser toolbar button in Safari
- try to switch back to UI Browser
- if it hasn’t already crashed it will do so now

I think it’s not the UI Browser but the implementation of Safari’s Accessibility API in Ventura.
The problems occur for me with Safari also with the PFAssistive Framework and with nativ ASObj-C. It takes an extremely long time to get feedback when retrieving the UI Elements and that’s what the UI Browser does to retrieve the hierarchy. It works great in other apps.
