I have been using SD Notary successfully for years without any issues. Now, when I try to use SD Notary 2 with exactly the same credentials I get:
12:54:57.916: Invalid credentials. Error: Error: HTTP status code: 401. Invalid credentials. Username or password is incorrect. Use the app-specific password generated at appleid apple com. Ensure that all authentication arguments are correct.
I even created a new app-specific password and try to enter different password combinations by selecting from the password pop-up list. Nothing gives…
Again, the old SD Notary still works fine.

You need to create the app-specific password (for notarytool), then paste it into the password field when prompted for it. Unlike in the original SD Notary, you do not add it to your keychain.
I never get a option to login in SD Notary 2. Version 2.0 (104)
I read in the page for version 2 that I could click either subit or Fetch History to get the login window but only get “No identities found”

Now I have the same problem as you had.
I type in my Apple ID and app-specific password exactly.
Still it returns with a message of faulty credentials.
I have used SD Notary for many years without a problem.
Now with SD Notary 2 on a Apple M2 Mini with Sonoma 14.5
How did you solve your problem?
Please double check that you’ve signed any updated agreements within your Apple Developer account. You can also check that your app-specific password has not expired.
