It would be great to be able to save the settings in a Document. Right now there is only the default settings that can be retained.
You can save a document as a template (File > Save As Template). Templates retain all content associated with the document. Templates can be selected from the script template chooser that appears when you create a new document.
Note that view repeated settings (window size, etc.) are set using the Window > Set Script Default Size & State command.
