I have recently started exploring LateNight Software…, and I am really impressed with its functionality. I am trying to find a way to integrate AppleScript with the software for automation purposes;, but I am a bit stuck.
Specifically…, I want to automate the process of generating reports and sending them via email. I know LateNight Software supports scripting but I am not sure how to connect it with AppleScript for tasks like pulling data from an app and sending it out.
If anyone has experience with this kind of integration…, I would love to hear your thoughts or see an example of how to get started. Any tips on connecting AppleScript commands with LateNight Software’s features would be greatly appreciated !!
Also, if there are any resources or documentation available…, please point me in the right direction.
I really like using Script Debugger as it’s a very useful tool. But it’s being end-of-lifed in about 6 months, so not sure you want to invest a lot of time in learning to use it. It will be available as a free download when it does reach that point but no support and no guarantees it will work in future macOS versions. Look for the announcement about end-of-life here on their website if you want more info.
I really wish someone else would take over development and support, but that’s up to the current owners/developers, so not sure we can have any real input on whether that happens or not.
