I would like to provide a notarized Folder Action script bundle (must be a bundle since it has an embedded script library) to someone who cannot understand security dialogs, so I can help them approve controlling another application the first time it runs and not worry about this approval request coming up later and totally perplexing them. I’ve discovered Folder Actions cannot be apps, so I have it as a bundle. The problem is SD Notary will not accept script bundles, only apps, plugins, fmplugins, flat packages, and disk images.
Is there a way out of my predicament? Thanks in advance.
Unfortunately script bundles can’t be notarized because they don’t normally contain binary files. I’ve tried adding binaries and forcing notarization that way, but the system then ignores it anyway.
