(Autosaved).* files

I noticed that sometimes Script Debugger leaves (Autosaved).* files alongside the actual script file.

My question only actually concerns the asterisk ‘*’: is it assigned automatically by Apple’s auto-save engine - or is it a custom name assigned by SD?

Recently I started to take advantage of OneDrive occasionally and file names with asterisk generate errors as this character isn’t allowed on OneDrive.

Yes.

For package files – so .scptd and .app files – editing them while they are cloud-shared can cause issues. It’s generally not a good idea.

Thanks for the info, Shane.

To clarify: I’m not working off OneDrive, I’m only using it as a transfer point between my desktop and laptop.

Also, all files are .applescript files.

But regardless, if this asterisk is assigned automatically then nothing can be done anyway.
