After modifying a compiled script file in Script Debugger created using Script Editor running it from Scripts menu fails

…because every time I attempt to launch it a warning dialogue pops up, telling me that
«AppleScript debugging failed because Script Debugger is not available on this Macintosh»

Moreover, even duplicating the file doesn’t cure the issue. The version is 7.0.12. I can open it in both SD and SE and execute from within but not from the menu icon.

How do I restore the script to its initial usability state and can it be done at all prior to an update?

macOS High Sierra

Save the script with debugging disabled to correct this problem. Once you do this, the script can run independently from Script Debugger.
