Background Color at Window Level Instead of Global

(Barry Harper) #1

I often have many windows open at once while working on scripts and it would be awesome if I was able to sort of color-code them. I am able to change background window color at a global level but I’m wanting to set color per window. Assigning a separate background color to saved vs untitled documents would even help.

Hey Barry,

I think that’s very unlikely to happen, but I’ve been known to be wrong now and then.

What about using a colored-block emoji as part of the Script Name?

The block palette isn’t too deep:

🏻🏿🏾🏽🏼

But there are a lot of less uniform emoji to choose from.

This sort of “labelling” will show up in your window menu too.

(I have a Keyboard Maestro macro that opens my window menu for type-selecting.)
